Auxiliary volunteers help with the Ambulatory Day Care program. Patients came to the day care for blood transfusions, and antibiotics. The volunteers’ goal is to make the patients comfortable by providing drinks, warm blankets, pillows, reading material, and conversation. They also assist the nurses with stocking medical supplies, putting information packages together, and helping with meals.
